I didn’t set out to become a meditation teacher, it kind of just happened.

I’ve always had an innate sense to help others. It’s my nature to put people first, to solve their problems by finding solutions. I’m your biggest cheerleader and the kind of girl who gives great advice that doesn’t necessarily listen to it (and absolutely should).

Basically, I believe in you, at times, more than I believe in myself.

When I first created state of pause, I intended to share stories that would shed light on my life experiences with hopes it would inspire and make you feel less alone.

After a wild 2020 of not only coping with the change brought upon by COVID-19, I also faced a few of my own challenges and was diagnosed with stress-induced anxiety which is why I turned to meditation and now here we are.

Your mind already knows how to meditate.
All you need to do is notice and take advantage.
- Deepak Chopra

I’ve come to realise I know a thing or two about stress.

Throughout my life, I have been faced with challenging situations, and 2020 was no exception. I dealt with a great deal of loss which saw me develop heart palpitations 24 hours a day, shortness of breath and painful acne which later was diagnosed as stress-induced anxiety. I’m resilient by nature, so it was only a matter of time that all the past challenges would catch up with me eventually causing me to crack.

I mean, I’m only human.

In the past, I was a mindset coach, so I (and my GP) knew I could tackle this task without medical needs by calming my natural state of being through meditation. Let me tell you, I knew very little about meditation and after one too many outdated, daggy and unrelatable YouTube clips, I decided the only way I would truly overcome this anxiety would be by learning the fundamentals of meditation and practising daily.

Initially, I took up the Certification in Meditation Teaching and Holistic Human Development to better my practice, though soon after noticing the changes in my wellbeing and appearance, I knew I had to share this with others.

For meditation is, as they say, truly life changing.

Learning to meditate and adding this to your daily routine, much like exercise and your morning coffee, can aid with the following:

🌙 reduce stress

🌙 sleep better

🌙 feel happier

🌙 increased energy

🌙 glowing complexion

🌙 less tired

🌙 aid weight loss

🌙 clarity of thought

🌙 better decision making

🌙 more alert and aware

🌙 heal past traumas

🌙 be less reactionary

🌙 have more confidence (my favourite part)

🌙 feel lighter and brighter and more connected to the true ‘you’

I’ve created a formula combining my preferred meditation styles that’s easy to grasp and fit into your daily routine.
