how to create a morning routine

It’s really easy to fall into a slump when working from home or not working due to COVID-19. We are all out of our normal routine, we’re restricted with our freedom and it’s hard to stay motivated (especially when the latest season of NYC Housewives has dropped).

Right, back to it.

This is a little morning routine that I like to commence my days with to remain inspired, positive and proactive.

  1. Say 3 things you are grateful for the second you wake up (instead of oh, F, another day in ISO).

  2. 10 mins stretch - get the juices flowing.

  3. Walk or home workout - whatever gets you moving and vibe high for the day.

  4. Visualise or listen to guided meditation - this is something that can take 5 mins or 25 mins. Really focus on what it is you’d like to gain out of the day, and ultimately, out of life.

  5. Listen to affirmation tracks or podcast or music - have this playing in the background whilst you get ready, make breakfast or go through emails.

  6. Journal - yes, I have thrown this one in here. It’ll help with point 4 to manifest what you want in life.

  7. Check in with calendar - check what’s going on for the day, if anything needs rescheduling or prioritising. Make sure you know what’s in store for you.
